Why do we care? here's why...
In our science class, we have been learning a lot about the humanitarian crisis in Iraq. As we have already stated that in Iraq people are starving, homeless, and dying of thirst. It is imperative that we help because many Yazidis and other people that don’t practice Islam are being pushed to flee their homes and treasures. These people are suffering in the mountains where they fled. According to the Yazidis in U.S. and Iraq cling to cellphones “I feel guilty when I see food or when I eat ,” [a relative] said through an interpreter. “I Look at the food and I can’t even eat, because they are hungry over there’...trapped on Mount Sinjar without food or water.” Because of all these emotions we are compelled to help. We as a country are fortunate enough to offer aid to those in need so why don’t we continue to?
